Lamentations 3:22-23
Because of the LORD's great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.

Dear children of God,

Many a times, we wake up and feel a sense a dread coming over us instead of joy overflowing. Do you feel overwhelmed by life's struggles?

School work & projects for those who are still studying...
Looming exams for those who are going for their A Levels...
Dread for those who are waiting for their exam results...
Disappointment and guilt weighing down on those who already know their results...
Work, work and more work for those who are earning their keep...

Perhaps it seems there isn't much to give thanks for, but remember this, your life itself is a gift from God!

"Because of His great love, we are not consumed."

Has it ever occured to you that you may not wake up from your sleep? Truly, it is very easy for the Lord to take away our breath of life. The fact that God allowed you to wake up today means that He has a purpose for you to fulfil today. It's because of His great love that we are not consumed.

Today is a brand new day. Take time to thank God for allowing you to be alive today. Thank Him for allowing you to wake up, for allowing you to take in the sights and sounds, for allowing you to smell the grass.

"...his compassions never fail. They are new every morning..."

God's compassion for us is new every morning. Nevermind what you did yesterday or how much you feel you've let Him down. Today, if you will come to Him and say "You are my God, apart from You, I have no good thing", the Lord will hear from heaven and strengthen your steps.

Isaiah 40:28-31
Do you not know? Have you not heard?
The LORD is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth.
He will not grow tired or weary, and his understanding no one can fathom.

He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak.
Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall;
but those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength.
They will soar on wings like eagles;
they will run and not grow weary,
they will walk and not be faint.

My dear sisters, daughters and neices, continue to hope in the Lord because those who hope in Him will renew their strength and soar on wings like eagles, just like the verses from Isaiah 40.

God is near to all who calls. So then, let us draw near to Him with confidence! =)
