• The Greek word (stegei) might be translated as "covers" instead of "bears." In the presence of the faults of others, love puts her finger to her lips.
• When a hurtful particle lodges on the shell of an oyster, and it cannot eject it, the oyster covers the intruder with a precious substance extracted from its very life and turns the intruder into a beautiful pearl. A pearl is the crystallized tear of an oyster.

3. "LOVE HOPES ALL THINGS."

• Love hopes even for the impossible for others, because the lover knows nothing is impossible for the Lord.
• Hope in the Lord begets hope for others. Love does not give up on people, or give in to evil no matter how great, just as Jesus never gave up on people. This demands constant and ardent prayer. We can do nothing without God; but with God, there is nothing we cannot do or hope for.

4. "LOVE ENDURES ALL THINGS."

• The Greek verb Paul uses here for "endure" is huypomenein, which means not just to bear with people on occasion, once in a while, but to put up with people always, even to the very end of their lives, despite all their aberrations and vagaries.
• so love is steadfast, it holds on in moments and days and even years--confident that somehow, someway, in God's good time all will be well in the end.

In Jesus, love walked the earth. For in Him patience and kindness met. Never was He jealous, pompous, inflated, rude. Never did He seek His own interests. Never was He quick-tempered, nor one to brood over injuries. He rejoiced not over wrongdoing, but with the truth. He bore every sling and arrow aimed at Himself. He believed in people always, hoped for them continually and endured all their shortcomings, confident that to those who love God all things would work together unto good in the end.

Hi peeps,
I am back from my commando-like training at Ubin. i survived after whining and complaining for the whole 4 days. Haha.... Well it was the longest 4 days i ever had and i can say that for my fellow colleagues too. We were practically counting down the days and hours and mintues not because we are unable to tolerate the training but because we all have other committments outside. For me i really miss my home and my daughters so much. I am so glad to receive their daily sms to spur me on. I have so much thanksgiving to share about this camp and how God was good. But i guess i will share it personally with you all when i see u face to face. Cant really sleep coz i slept in the afternoon after i break camp. So nice to have comfy bed to lie on my back almost broke lying on the cold hard soil every night. Then was talking to my daughter and son and encouraging them and accompanying them while still tying up the loose ends for the ECP Fun Day.

Some photos to share with you all. Well this camp is called Camp Resilience.
"Resilience is the ability to thrive, mature, and increase competence in the face of adverse circumstances." How apt is it to choose this name and i must say this camp will has helped me to portray that quality. I realised that human beings can be strecthed beyond our limits if we dare to take the first step of overcoming our mindset and beliefs. WHy do i say this well come and speak to me more. Haha and i will share ah ma story with u.

Flag raising at 630am everyday. No national anthem though. U can guess what time we wake up everyday. 515am!!!!


The delicacy during camp. Ccoktail Pineapples. Everyone is hungering for it for every meal.



Koka Chicken Flavoured Instant Noodles will be banned from my eating list. Our staple diet for every meal.


Something beautiful, something great. I love the tranquil scenery from the campsite.

Advanced Challenge Tower. Well it is very very tall and i overcomed it despite breaking down in tears and fright. I sang to the Lord while making my way coz there is no turning back. I still had nightmare about it when i thought of how i cleared the obstacle.

The beautiful jetty behind our camp site. Well this jetty is a training site too. Jetty Jump

8 storey high Double Flying Fox. The highest and only one in Spore. I scaled it and flew down along it. Dont ask me how i did it, it was a big leap of faith. Jelly Legs till now...

I am burnt... Took so long to be fair and now i am tanned again. Sigh.... Time to report for training again in my uniform. Love ya all. Miss ya all too.

Collection
It is mandatory for all participants to collect their Race Entry Pack during the REPC weekend. Participants need to bring along the following documents for the collection of your Race Entry Pack.
1. Race Confirmation Slip
2. A photo ID for verification purposes
*The Organisers reserve the right to refuse anyone their Race Entry Pack without proper documentation.

Retrieve Confirmation Slip
For collection of your Race Entry Pack, please queue at Collection Counters (Zone 1 - Blue Zone) according to your race category. If you are unable to retrieve your Race Confirmation Slip online, please proceed to the Information Counter (Zone 2 - Green Zone) at the REPC.

Authorising another person to collect your Race Entry Pack
If you are unable to personally collect your Race Entry Pack during these 3 days, you may authorise another person to collect the race entry pack for you.
He/She will need to have the following documentation in order to be able to collect on your behalf:
1. Completed and Signed Authorisation Form,
2. Your Race Entry Confirmation slip
3. A copy/photocopy of the runner’s photo ID for verification.
4. His/her own Photo ID for recording purposes.
Authorised collection is strictly on a 1-to-1 basis i.e. Only 1 person can only collect on behalf of another runner.

Hi Family,

ECP Amazing Race coming up this Sat which is run by another team of youths in our cluster, and as much as possible come on down to support the event. =)
Let's rise in faith to see the participants come for church/MOL etc. and to see them saved. Guess what, one female participant from 11 Nov's Sports Carnival has received Christ yesterday. Praise God!

Standard Chartered Marathon 2006 Route Map

The marathon will keep to about the same route as the one followed in 2005.
Only minor changes have been made to improve emergency access as well as to enhance the running experience for the runners. There will be manned First-Aid and Drinks Stations set up along the route, the first being at the 3km mark and subsequent ones at approximately 1.5km intervals.
